Under UK Athletics Rules race numbers are not be folded, cut or modified in any way. Please complete the requested information on the reverse of your number. This will include any special medical conditions and medications carried. If possible, bring this to the attention of the Race Director on the day. Race numbers must be clearly displayed on the FRONT of vest/t-shirt on day of the race.
We are asking competitors to bring there own pins to affix their race numbers this year. This is an attempt to reduce the waste from the event.

Routes for all 3 events can be found here. As the weather takes place in March we would advise you to dress warmly, carry a windproof top and have warm clothes to change into after the event.

There is toilet and changing facilities at the cricket club but showers will not be available.

Marshfield School PTA will be providing hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks that can be purchased in the Cricket Clubhouse. All profits will go towards raising funds for the school.

We will also be offering competitors the option of leaving their own drinks bottle at the finish line that they can retrieve as they cross the finish line.
Just look out for the table by the finish line on race day!

Although race mementos are very common at events such as ours we’re a small race which is organised to raise funds for Marshfield School PTA. It’s always a fine balance between ensuring participants feel they have got value for money whilst raising as much money as possible for the school. As organisers we have always taken the decision that providing some sort of snack and some fluid at the end of the race was more important than anything else. However, if funds are available a memento of some sort may be available at the finish line.

The village of Marshfield is situated approx 7 miles north of Bath and is easily located off the A420 between Bristol and Chippenham. Follow the signs off the A420 into the village of Marshfield. Race parking will be situated at the cricket club and will be signposted from the A420. The address is Marshfield Cricket Club, Broadleys, Ashwicke Road, Marshfield. SN14 8AB.

Prior to the start of the main race Spectators may, if they wish, situate themselves around the main race route, please ask family and friends to be extremely considerate when parking, vehicles should be parked so that they do not obstruct the race route or any of the local resident’s access in any way. The race director strongly advises against, and specifically requests, that vehicles are not driven on the route whilst the race is underway as some of the roads are narrow and this presents a significant hazard to the competitors.

Onsite parking has been arranged at the cricket club and will be signposted from the A420. If parking at the cricket club is not possible (weather dependent) alternative parking has been arranged in the village and will be signposted. Parking is also possible within the village but if you choose this option please be considerate of residents. PLEASE NOTE: Entry to the car park will only be possible until 9:30a.m. This is for safety reasons as the Fun Run starts at 9:45a.m. and we cannot have vehicles arriving as fun runners start their race.

THERE ARE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY. Race registration opens at 8:45 am. The races will start at the following times: Marshfield Mudling Fun Run 9:45 am. Marshfield Mudlark 10:30a.m. Marshfield Mudlite 10:45a.m. Collection of numbers will be available up until 15 minutes before the start of each race.

Two water stations will be provided for the Marshfield Mudlark, one at approximately 4.7kms and a second at the top of Ayford Lane (7.2kms). Water will be provided at the finish for all events. Other refreshments may be purchased from the Cricket Club. New for this year, there will be a table at the finish line to allow competitors to leave their own water bottles if they wish to use it.

Qualified first aiders will be present to cover any emergencies.

Due to health and safety neither the main race nor fun run is deemed suitable for wheelchairs, prams or pets.

Ample Marshalls and officials will be provided to support all events. Please be polite and friendly to all those who have made the day possible as we want them to come back next year!

We love the green fields of Marshfield and I'm sure you do too so please don't drop any litter including used gel wrappers.

The winner presentation for the Marshfield Mudlite and Marshfield Mudlark will take place at approx 12.30 pm. This year, prizes will be given and not trophies as we attempt to keep the race as sustainable as possible.

Provisional results may be available on the day time permitting but final results will be posted on this website as soon as possible

Please take care when leaving the cricket club as runners may still be runners on the course. Please observe instructions from marshals.
